Sounds

Page history last edited by PBworks 3 yrs ago

The Sound Object is a term coined by Pierre Schaeffer, as an entity distinct from the source of the sound. This is the basis of his exploration of "Acousmaics" - listening to the sounds themselves, speperated from their orginal context. This is an import case bacause is includes all loudspeaker listening.

Bellow are samples of such sounds which are interesting enough to warrant a full visual and textual description.

Sound of Bloodlock - Yohei Shimomae

Windchime - Rebeca Duran
